About the Pantry
The Fort Atkinson Food Pantry is a non-sectarian effort of the churches and organizations of the Fort Atkinson School District. Its purpose is to provide food, on an emergency basis, to anyone in the district determined to be in need. The pantry is an equal opportunity provider.
Our purpose
To provide food, on an emergency basis, to anyone in the district determined to be in need.
The pantry does not impose any set of beliefs on the people it serves. Beyond meeting the immediate need for food, the pantry hopes to help each person get back on their own feet.
Our basis
The pantry's work is based on James 2:14-17:
If a brother or sister is ill-clad and in lack of daily food... so faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead.

Who we serve
Each month the pantry serves about 216 families, or roughly 667 people, in the Fort Atkinson School District. During the school year, about 160 children also receive extra food to take home each week.
The pantry participates in The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP), a USDA program administered by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services that supplies food pantries and meal sites in Jefferson and Waukesha counties. The rest of our food comes from donations by local businesses, churches, clubs, and individuals.
